Week 6, Whew glad this one is almost over.
Hello everyone, I can't believe that we have almost 2 foot of snow. It hasn't snowed like this since the early 1900's. I think that the roads will be mostly clear by tomorrow afternoon, so I can do last minute Christmas shopping. Okay I got my first draft for Composition done, and i haven't started homework for pharmacology class yet. I will start on that as soon as I am done with this post. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, and a great start to the new year.

Week 5, halfway there!
Okay everyone this has been a busy week, I have just started my holiday shopping so therefore I have been busy. I can't believe we are in week 5 already. Where does the time go? This week I also registered for next terms classes. I will be taking Anatomy and Physiology II and Medical office management . I am looking forward to office management not so much the retaking of anatomy. This week in college comp we learned prewriting techniques, I liked these lessons because they helped me figure out which direction I want to take my final paper. In pharmacology we learned about drugs designed for the respiratory system and the circulatory system, some very interesting stuff this week.
Okay on a personal note, trying to figure out what to buy teenagers for Christmas is maddening, lol. I am thinking just to give them money and let them buy what they want. Any ideas would be helpful on the ever going teenage saga.

Week 4 crazy week
Hi everyone, it has been a crazy week for me, I found out that in my anatomy and physiology II class that I took last term needed to be passed with a C not a C- so I will have to retake that class again. Did any of you get told this information? I also ran my car in a ditch and my husband came to pull me out with his truck and the rope broke and our cars smashed each other, his however had no damage, but the whole rear end of my car has to be replaced. Okay I just keep telling myself that the bumps in the road are just to get us where we are suppose to be, but I think I am getting mountains. HA! Enough about my bad luck, this week in Composition we are learning about citing and plagiarism. I myself have had some trouble with this. I think after all the reading and videos this week, I am on track. I still have some trouble with the correct APA formatting, but I feel that will come along as well. In pharmacology we are learning about the gastrointestinal system and nutritional supplements, very interesting to learn how our bodies process the different medications and supplements. Okay this week is coming to an end and I feel like I am accomplishing so much in such a short period of time. Being an online student sure does have it's advantageous. Up at midnight doing homework, going to class in my pajamas, and not having to drive to class. I also like that the classes are all structured to help you learn and to know what is expected of you for the week. I usually try and do things on the same days. On Saturday I post my initial post to discussion and then Monday and Tuesday are to do responses to other students and quizzes and test. It is the easiest way for me to attend school. Well everyone, I hope you all enjoy my postings! Until next week......

week 3
Well the holidays have started and keeping up with school work and all the other obligations is a challenge. I would like to thank all of you for following my blog.
This week in my classes we are coming up with our thesis statements for composition and in pharmacology we are learning dosing measurements and about some of the common medications such as penicillin's. I am doing my scientific research paper on the importance of nutrition to a diabetic. I am having some difficulty with the research and finding something different all the resources i have checked have basically the same information, and i want something that is new and exciting.
The family is doing great and we all enjoyed Thanksgiving with all of our family. I look forward to your comments and suggestions.

Week 2.
I am just trying to stay ahead of the game. With the holidays coming up I am going to be busy. I have a plan to get all my work completed by Saturdays and leave Monday and Tuesday to reply to discussion board. So far all is going pretty well. I will be posting at least once a week. I think this will be fun and good practice for writing. As I said before I am a mother of 3 and of course teenagers are a struggle some days, I am at my wits end with my 2 and their grades, grounding doesn't work, seems nothing does. Any suggestions that could help on how to get teenagers to get better grades are welcome. We all have our everyday struggles but with friends we will all make it through.

Introductions
Hello everyone, this is my first blog. I am looking forward to seeing what you all have to write, I am a wife and mother, I am married to Jerry, he is in the military, so we have had our share of moves and obstacles, but we always get through. We have 3 children Kristy 17, Cody 16, and Jake 8. Yes the joy of raising teenagers. They are all good kids and I am proud of them. I have been a student at Kaplan since Jan '09. I chose to do online classes because we move so much and nothing ever seems permanent. We are finally moved back to where we grew up and I am loving being around family and friends. We are hoping this will be our last move for a while but with the military you never know. I am looking forward to learning with you all and hearing all of your stories too.
